Praise Petey is coming to Freeform later this month, and the cable network has now released a trailer showcasing the animated comedy series.



The series, starring the voices of Annie Murphy (Schitt's Creek), John Cho (Cowboy Bebop (2021)), Kiersey Clemons (Transparent)), Stephen Root (Barry), Amy Hill (Magnum, P.I. ( 2018)) and Christine Baranski (The Good Fight), follows a young woman who decides to lead her late father's cult after her life falls apart.

The series was created by Anna Dreze (Saturday Night Live).



Freeform revealed more about the series in the press release below:

"This cult is #blessed. Freeform's Praise Petey premieres Friday, July 21. Streaming the next day on Hulu. Don't miss the new animated series created by lead Saturday Night Live writer Anna Drezen and produced by Mike Judge & Greg Daniels.

Petey, a New York City "it" girl, has it all until her life comes crashing down. Fortunately, a mysterious gift from her father gives her a new lease of life: she dedicates herself to modernizing his small-town cult.
