American Horror Stories returns in October for its third season. Hulu has announced that the spin-off of FX's American Horror Story series will return for four episodes just before Halloween.



As usual, few details about the new season have been released. Deadline reports that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna will star in an episode titled Tapeworm, but plot information was not revealed.



Hulu revealed more about American Horror Stories in the press release below:

"American Horror Stories is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's award-winning anthology series American Horror Story.

American Horror Stories is an anthology series featuring a different horror story in every episode.

Since 2011, the creators of American Horror Story have redefined the horror genre with several episodes about a creepy asylum, a coven of witches, a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel, and the apocalypse itself. The television series has spawned a legion of devoted fans who look forward to the horrors of the next chapter.

The series is produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, Max Winkler, Manny Coto and Jon Robin Baitz. The franchise is produced by 20th Television.

The start date for season twelve of American Horror Story was announced earlier this week. The first half of the season will be released on Wednesday, September 20.
