NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii have been dropped from the fall schedule, but CBS will still have an island-based NCIS series this fall: NCIS: Sydney.

CBS has announced that Paramount+'s upcoming Australian series NCIS: Sydney will air Monday, November 13 at 10 p.m.

CBS' fall 2023 schedule, which was unveiled in May, actually scheduled NCIS: Hawaii on Mondays at 10 p.m., after the main series NCIS at 9 p.m. The ongoing strikes in Hollywood changed the broadcast networks' plans, with NCIS: Sydney now filling the gap left by NCIS: Hawaii.

The network has now released a trailer for NCIS: Sydney, showcasing some familiar images for fans of the franchise - the signature NCIS uniforms and on-water action. There's plenty of new decor too, with distinctive Australian vistas, including the famous Sydney Harbour, and a kangaroo.

NCIS: Sydney, created and produced by Morgan O'Neill, sees international tensions rise in the Indo-Pacific. The brilliant and eclectic team of American NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) are brought into a multinational task force to keep a lid on crimes at sea in the world's most contested stretch of ocean.

Britain's Olivia Swann (DC's Legends of Tomorrow) leads the NCIS portion of the team as NCIS Special Agent Michelle Mackey, along with Aussie Todd Lasance (The Vampire Diaries) as her 2IC AFP counterpart, Sergeant Jim 'JD' Dempsey. They are joined by Sean Sagar (Fate: The Winx Saga) as NCIS Special Agent DeShawn Jackson, Tuuli Narkle (Bad Behavior) as AFP Liaison Officer Constable Evie Cooper, Mavournee Hazel (Halifax: Retribution) as AFP Forensic Scientist Bluebird 'Blue' Gleeson and William McInnes (Rake) as Dr Roy Penrose, AFP Forensic Pathologist.

NCIS: Sydney is a local international co-production for CBS Studios. It is produced by Endemol Shine Australia for CBS Studios and Paramount Australia and distributed outside Australia by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
