CBC and Paramount+ are offering an exclusive first look at season two of Canadian medical drama SkyMed.

The series follows a group of young medics and pilots flying air ambulances in remote northern Canada, as they face challenges and score triumphs on their journey to grow up and save lives.

The one-hour medical drama is returning to CBC TV and streamer CBC Gem on Sunday, October 1 at 9pm.

Season 2 begins in the snowy spring as the returning characters move into a new Crew House – and meet the new crew members that will help SkyMed service medical emergencies in both Manitoba and Ontario.

It will star Natasha Calis, Morgan Holmstrom, Praneet Akilla, Aason Nadjiwan, Mercedes Morris, Thomas Elms, Kheon Clarke, Aaron Ashmore, Braeden Clark, Emilia McCarthy, Sydney Kuhne, Ryan Ali and Nadine Whiteman Rodman.

Paramount+ streams the show in the U.S., UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy and Germany. No word on return dates outside Canada yet, though.

SkyMed is produced by Piazza Entertainment in association with CBC and CBS Studios, and Paramount Global Content Distribution has international sales rights. Julie Puckrin is the creator.
