Miracle Workers (2019) has come to an end. TBS has canceled the last remaining live-action comedy after four seasons. The season four finale, which is now the series finale, aired on August 28.

The cancellation of Miracle Workers (2019) is not entirely unexpected. In January, it was rumored that season four could be the last. Then it was announced that TBS had run out of options on the cast, led by Daniel Radcliffe, so new arrangements would have to be made for a possible fifth season - a daunting proposition that networks rarely resort to.

The show's creative team did have an idea for a possible fifth season that Radcliffe was excited about, so if season four did well in terms of ratings, it was possible the show would continue with Radcliffe, who would then sign a new deal. should have closed.

In the fourth season, lead actors Radcliffe, Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Karan Soni and Jon Bass portrayed new characters in a dystopian future full of radioactive mutants, killer robots and a tyrannical homeowners association with excessive annual fees.

In a post-apocalyptic future, a desert warrior (Radcliffe) and a ruthless warlord (Viswanathan) are faced with the most dystopian nightmare of all: settling in the suburbs. Together they navigated the existential horrors of married life and small-town life, all under the dubious guidance of a wealthy junk dealer (Buscemi). Bass played the role of the couple's loyal war dog, and Soni as a kill-bot who loved to party.

Guest stars in season four included Quinta Brunson, Garcelle Beauvais, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Lolly Adefope, Paul F. Tompkins and Lisa Loeb.

Miracle Workers (2019) was created by Simon Rich and produced by Lorne Michaels. Dan Mirk and Robert Padnick served as showrunners and produced with Michaels' Broadway Video's Andrew Singer and Katy Jenson, Simon Rich, Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi.

American Dad!, currently in its eighteenth season and renewed for season 19, remains TBS's last original scripted series.
