Patty Brard is played in the drama series by Holly Mae Brood and Eva van de Wijdeven.

The Videoland Original Patty will have a festive premiere on Sunday afternoon, February 18, at the Huishoudbeurs in the RAI Amsterdam and can then be streamed at Videoland. The five-part series will be added in its entirety to Videoland's offering at 9:30 p.m. In addition, the first episode can also be seen on television at the same time on RTL 4.

Patty is a dramatized telling of the life story of singer and media personality Patty Brard. She is played in the series by both Holly Mae Brood (Girl of Pleasure) and Eva van de Wijdeven (Celblok H). Her colleagues from Luv' - the pop group with which she made a splash in the 1970s - are played by Julia Lammerts (as José) and Teunie de Brouwer (as Marga). Patty was created by director Will Koopman (Eyeballs, Gooische Vrouwen).

Director Will Koopman: “Patty is about trial and error. I really wanted to make this series because this woman has fallen quite a few times, but has always climbed back up and reinvented herself. I have enormous admiration for that.”

Patty Brard is a phenomenon. A woman who has been shaking up Dutch showbiz in an exuberant way for years, but has shown that no matter how deep you fall and how broke you are, you are always able to make your own ends meet in 'a man's world'.
