The filming will take place in the Czech capital Prague and Poland, sources have learned. The cast and crew of the sci-fi drama starring Jared Harris and Lee Pace have just been informed of the new start date for filming, sources said.
Earlier this month, the restart of season three production, originally scheduled for February, was postponed, with issues related to budgeting and physical production prompting the delay. The cast and crew, already assembled for filming, were told to return home while the issues were resolved and the budget was reduced.
That process has now been completed and season three will be completed. David S. Goyer, co-developer/executive producer/showrunner of the series, who directed one episode in the first season and two in season two, will complete his outstanding writing and directing duties and will remain involved as an executive producer, but will not directing further episodes of season three as previously planned. The production is in the process of finding directors for the remaining episodes assigned to it.
Foundation (2021) filmed for several weeks in the spring of 2023 before it was halted due to the strike. According to sources, about half of the third season has been filmed.
