Once again a very large, successful series returns to Netflix. Now it's time for Dexter. Because Michael C. Hall returns to the streaming service.

Michael C. Hall played serial killer and forensic investigator Dexter Morgan for eight seasons. While working for the police in Florida, he solves his own cases when bad people in his eyes manage to escape. But the net is slowly closing around him.

The first season of Dexter was based on the novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter, the first in a series of novels by Jeff Lindsay. It was developed for television by James Manos Jr., who also wrote the first episode.

The eight original seasons will be released on Netflix on Sunday, March 31. In addition, there has been a revival in 2021 titled Dexter: New Blood. The ending of Dexter was criticized by many, including the protagonist himself. The original showrunner, who was responsible for the first four seasons, returned. Together they brought him back from anonymity. It remains to be seen whether this season will also be available on Netflix in the future.

In addition to Hall, the cast of Dexter includes Julie Benz as Rita Bennett, Jennifer Carpenter as Debra Morgan, Erik King as James Doakes, Lauren Vélez as María LaGuerta, David Zayas as Angel Batista, James Remar as Harry Morgan and C.S. Lee as Vince Masuka. Later seasons will see Desmond Harrington as Joey Quinn, Aimee Garcia as Jamie Batista and Geoff Pierson as Tom Matthews.
