NBC has renewed all three series of One Chicago – Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD – for the 2024-25 season.

Chicago Med has been renewed for a tenth season, Chicago Fire for season thirteen and Chicago PD for season twelve.

The series trio returned in January after a long hiatus due to the twin writers and actors strikes with shortened seasons. New episodes are released on Wednesdays and are currently the top three series of the night this season in total viewers.

Chicago Med is averaging 10.5 million viewers (+57%) and is +141% in the demo, Chicago Fire is averaging 12.6 million viewers (+86%) and is +236% in the demo, and Chicago PD is averaging 12.0 million viewers (+114%) and is +287% in the demo.

Even with the shortened seasons, a lot has happened so far, including Kara Killmer's big farewell to Chicago Fire with a grand wedding between her character Sylvie Brett and the love of her life Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) at an aquarium store. Off-screen, Sylvie and Matt will live with the Darden brothers and their newly adopted daughter Julia in Portland.

Speaking of departures, Chicago PD is also preparing to say goodbye to Tracy Spiridakos this season. The writing was on the wall after Jesse Lee Sopher's departure, when his character Jay Halstead headed to Bolivia for a new mission shortly after marrying Hailey Upton (Spiridakos). Fans usually get happy endings when characters leave, so hopefully this situation is no different - even if it doesn't end with Halstead in the end.

Finally, Chicago Med has a lot going on at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, starting with the addition of Luke Mitchell as Dr. Mitchell Ripley and followed by Archer's (Steven Weber) transplant and reunion with his son and Goodwin's (S. Epatha Merkerson) steamy office romance!!! Maggie's (Marlyne Barrett) divorce story was sad, but a possible flirtation was teased earlier this season. Was that something to think about?

Chicago Med certainly has something to look forward to, as series alum Brian Tee returns this season to direct episode 17. Sorry, but according to Tee there will be no cameo from his character Dr. Ethan Choi, at least not this time.

All three series are produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
