How do people deal with a world that will end in 200 days due to a catastrophic asteroid impact?

The Korean series Goodbye Earth paints a vivid picture of these tumultuous times, as seen in the recently released trailer.

The once peaceful city of Woongcheon is turned upside down by a terrifying emergency siren and the news of an impending asteroid strike. With the Korean peninsula designated as a danger zone, society is spiraling into a frenzy with protests, crime and impersonation of soldiers running rampant.

Amid the chaos, viewers follow three main characters: Se-kyung (Ahn Eun-jin), a high school teacher, fights tooth and nail to protect children who have become targets of crime, facing harsh realities that they will never grow up. Sung-jae (Jeon Seong-woo), a priest, offers comfort to his shocked community. Meanwhile, In-a (Kim Yoon-hye), a battalion commander, works tirelessly to keep the peace and protect the people in these difficult times.

Goodbye Earth is based on the novel of the same name by respected Japanese author Kotaro Isaka, known for his insightful social commentary. The series is directed by Kim Jin-min and written by Jeong Seong-joo, both known for their nuanced takes on social issues.
