For the fifth season of Dertigers (NL) we follow a new group of friends.

After four successful seasons and a Christmas film, the end of the successful series Dertigers (NL) seemed to be in sight, but fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Now that the familiar group of friends has passed the age of forty, a completely new group of thirty-somethings is ready to take over.

In the new season of Dertigers (NL), the brand new cast members immerse themselves in the world of thirties' dilemmas and close friendships. Dertigers (NL) can be seen this summer on BNNVARA on NPO Start and NPO 3.

The leading roles in this new season are played by Teun Donders, Claire Bender, Sabri Saddik, Teunie de Brouwer, Sebastián Mrkvicka, Stefanie van Leersum and Sia Cyrroes.

In the series, the friends each struggle with the challenges of their generation and the expectations that come with their age. They experience increasing pressure from their environment, as reaching their thirties is an important milestone. Whether it concerns settling down, whether or not to have children, expanding their career or buying their own home. That pressure can be motivating or suffocating. The friends each deal with this in their own way. New this season is that the friends now live and work in the region and they share a great common passion: cycling.

Not all members of the original cast have finally said goodbye to Dertigers (NL). Lykele Muus (Bart) and Leonoor Koster (Lot) are creatively involved in the series this season; Lykele as one of the script writers and Leonoor as one of the directors.
