Creators and protagonists Jelka van Houten and Henry van Loon announce this with a hilarious (Dutch) video on Instagram.
That video explains the subject of the series – the inconveniences of parenthood – in great detail.
“We have a very nice announcement, if I say so myself,” says Jelka while she is repeatedly interrupted by daughter Bonnie. Henry jumps in, but he can't get through either. After several interruptions, the big word finally comes out: a second season of the Tropical Years series will be on TV in the fall.
The first season showed that Jelle (played by Van Loon) and his wife Rosa (played by Van Houten) have their first child. This brings the couple into a new phase of their lives. Going out and partying has to make way for diapers and babysitters. It is not yet known what exactly we can expect from the second season.
