Prepare for a return to Cousins Beach. A new season of The Summer I Turned Pretty is on its way.

Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty will debut in the summer of 2025, creator Jenny Han announced last week during Amazon's Upfront presentation.

While not many details were given about the third season, Han also revealed that season three will be expanded to eleven episodes.

Season two consisted of eight episodes, while the first season only had seven episodes.

Production on season three is currently in full swing. Lead actors Lola Tung, Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno joined Han on stage last week to talk about how filming is going.

“I’m really excited to see what comes next for all of us in the show itself, especially for Jeremiah and Belly’s final moments in Season 2,” Casalegno said.

Added Briney: “We’ve all been so close. It’s our third year, which is kind of crazy. I miss them a lot. We were away for a while…So it’s good to be back, reunited, where it all started.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama that centers on a love triangle between a girl and two brothers, the ever-changing relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak and the magic of that one perfect summer.

Season two of the series is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka. Han, Kucserka, Karen Rosenfelt and Gabrielle Stanton are executive producers, along with Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen and Paul Lee for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.
