Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia star in Obsession, a thriller series produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Atomic Monster.

The series, which was ordered late last year, is written and produced by Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher and is based on Catherine Ryan Howard's 2021 international bestseller 56 Days.

The story follows Oliver (Jogia, pictured right) and Ciara (Cameron, pictured left), who, after a random meeting in a supermarket, fall for each other quickly and dangerously hard. 56 days later, homicide detectives arrive at Oliver's apartment to find an unidentified body - brutally murdered and deliberately decomposed. Did he kill her? Did she kill him?

The series alternates between an intense day in the current investigation and the twisted trajectory of the young lovers' affair in the past. It is both a crime story and an erotic, psychological thriller.

James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett produce via Atomic Monster. Danielle Bozzone oversees the series on behalf of the company. Sandrine Gros d'Aillon also produces. Catherine Ryan Howard is co-executive producer. Alethea Jones directs the first two episodes.

An Emmy-winning actress and platinum recording artist, Cameron most recently starred in a series regular role opposite Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong in the critically acclaimed musical comedy series Schmigadoon! from Apple TV+. She also appeared in Mel Brooks' History of the World, Part II.

Jogia starred opposite Krysten Ritter in AMC's Orphan Black: Echoes last year. Jogia's previous series roles include Starz's Now Apocalypse, The Stranger (US) for Quibi and Tut opposite Sir Ben Kingsley for Spike TV.
