Colman Domingo has signed a deal to join Tina Fey and Steve Carell at The Four Seasons.

Netflix's upcoming comedy series is based on the Universal Pictures film title of the same name. Details about the role of Domingo (photo below) are not yet known, but he will have a regular role in the series.

Written and directed by Alan Alda, produced by Martin Bregman, and starring Alda and Carol Burnett, 1981's The Four Seasons tells the story of three couples who vacation together each season.

The Four Seasons series comes from Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Fey's production company Little Stranger, Inc. and is produced by Fey, Fisher, Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond. Alda and Marissa Bregman are producing the series, written by Fey, Fisher and Wigfield, which will go into production later this year.

After his first Oscar nomination for his role as civil rights activist Bayard Rustin in director George C. Wolfe's drama Rustin for Netflix, Domingo also turned in a memorable, menacing role as Mister in last year's musical adaptation of The Color Purple for Warner Bros.

The actor also recently appeared in Ethan Coen's Drive-Away Dolls and after eight seasons on AMC's Fear The Walking Dead, he will soon be seen in the prison drama Sing Sing, which hits theaters on July 12 via A24.

The film received critical acclaim after a world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Other upcoming projects include the Netflix limited series The Madness and Lionsgate's Michael Jackson biopic Michael, due April 18, 2025, in which he portrays patriarch Joe Jackson.
