Sources say Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are in talks to star in Beef season two.

After a groundbreaking Emmy-winning first season, the Netflix and A24 anthology series Beef focuses on some big-name talent for its second season: Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan. Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny will also appear in season two.

Netflix had no comment on the conversations with Isaac (pictured, left) and Mulligan (pictured, right).

Insiders say the second season will revolve around two feuding couples. Insiders add that no official greenlight has been given for season two yet.

The roles that Isaac and Mulligan were going to play were rumored to be for Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, but that ultimately did not happen.

Isaac has had success with his role in HBO's Scenes From a Marriage (US), which earned him an Emmy nomination. Before that, he appeared in another HBO limited series: Show Me A Hero and most recently in Disney+ series Marvel's Moon Knight.

A three-time Oscar nominee, Mulligan is fresh off her own acclaimed role in Maestro opposite Bradley Cooper. The role earned her critical acclaim and accolades, including an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She was also recently seen in the Netflix film Spaceman opposite Adam Sandler.
