Apple TV+'s sci-fi series Silo has set its season two start date.

Silo follows the last ten thousand people on Earth who live miles beneath the planet's surface to shelter from the toxic environment it has become. The residents of the silo don't know exactly why it was built, but those who try to find out face deadly consequences.

Season two of the series, based on Hugh Howey's Wool trilogy, starts Friday, November 15. The global launch date will include one episode and new episodes of the ten-part season will be released weekly until January.

The streamer also revealed at Comic-Con 2024 that The White Lotus actor Steve Zahn (pictured) has come on board for the next season. Zahn made a surprise appearance during the panel with creator and showrunner Graham Yost, author and executive producer Hugh Howey, executive producer and lead actress Rebecca Ferguson and actor Common.

Ferguson stars as engineer Juliette, who encounters a deeper mystery than she thought when she tries to discover what led to her lover's murder. The series description hints that if lies don't kill the remaining people on Earth, the truth will.

Season two also stars Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McCrae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.

The first season of the series was released on May 5, 2023. The two Hollywood strikes in 2023 delayed production of season two.

It was also recently reported that Ferguson is on board for Netflix's Peaky Blinders film with Cillian Murphy and that Zahn will join Glen Powell in a Hulu comedy series to play Chad Powers.

Apple TV+ has also released more new footage from the upcoming season of Silo.
