Sweetpea is coming to Starz soon. The new drama has released a teaser trailer for the 'coming of rage' drama series.

Ella Purnell, Nicôle Lecky, Jon Pointing, Calam Lynch, Leah Harvey, Jeremy Swift and Dustin Demri-Burns are set to star in the six-episode series about a quiet wallflower (Purnell) who becomes a murderer.

Starz revealed more about the upcoming series in the press release below:

"STARZ today released the teaser trailer for the slyly-shot coming-of-rage tale Sweetpea, coming this October.

Ella Purnell stars as Rhiannon, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder. Purnell also serves as an executive producer.

Purnell said: "I can't wait for the world to meet Sweetpea! I've loved exploring this incredibly complex character and working with our dynamic cast and powerhouses Ella Jones, Kristie Swain, and Patrick Walters. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career to date. At its core, the series is about a woman finally finding her voice, told through a uniquely dark and comedic lens. I hope audiences enjoy Rhiannon Lewis’s wild coming-of-rage journey as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life.”

Rhiannon Lewis doesn’t make much of an impression – people walk past her on the street without a second glance. She’s constantly being overlooked for promotions at work, the boy she likes won’t commit and her father is seriously ill. Then everything in her life is turned upside down. Rhiannon is pushed over the edge and out of control. Suddenly, the wallflower is gone and in its place is a young woman capable of anything… Rhiannon’s life is transformed as she steps into a new, intoxicating force, but can she keep her killer secret?

The ensemble cast includes Nicôle Lecky as Julia, Jon Pointing as Craig, Calam Lynch as AJ and Leah Harvey as Marina. Also starring are Jeremy Swift as Norman and Dustin Demri-Burns as Jeff.

The The six-part series has been acquired directly from Sky Studios and will premiere as a STARZ Original in the US and Canada in October 2024."

The exact premiere date for the series will be announced at a later date.
