In the series Django, the embittered cowboy goes to search for his daughter. He ends up in New Babylon, a city where outcasts are welcome. To his surprise, he discovers that his daughter Sarah lives there and, above all, is still alive. She is about to marry John Ellis, the founder of the city. However, Sarah blames her father for their family's death and wants him to leave. Determined to get a second chance, Django joins Ellis' mission to defend New Babylon against a powerful enemy. Matthias Schoenaerts takes on the lead role and shines in this compelling western series about lost love, revenge and the fight for freedom.

Texas, late 1800s. Django is an embittered cowboy who is looking for his long-lost daughter. He follows a trail and ends up in New Babylon, a city where all outcasts are welcome and where everyone is equal and free. Here, Django discovers that his 20-year-old daughter Sarah is still alive and is going to marry John Ellis, the founder of New Babylon. Sarah, who blames her father for the death of their family, wants her father to leave. But he refuses to give up and does everything he can to get a second chance with her. He becomes a valuable ally for Ellis. Together, they must defend New Babylon from the powerful Lady of Elmdale, Elizabeth Thurman, who is on a personal mission to eliminate this community of thieves and sinners. Unbeknownst to them, all these people are connected by a web of secrets and a dark past that is about to resurface.



Matthias Schoenaerts (The Regime) plays the iconic title character, alongside Nicholas Pinnock (For Life) as John Ellis, the visionary founder of the city of New Babylon; Lisa Vicari (Dark), who plays Django's daughter Sarah; and Noomi Rapace (Millennium) as John's powerful and ruthless enemy Elizabeth Thurman. Jyuddah James, Benny O. Arthur and Eric Kole (We Were the Lucky Ones) play John Ellis' children, and Tom Austen (The Bold Type) takes on the role of cowboy Eljiah Turner.

Django is a DFW production. The first four episodes are directed by Francesca Comencini (Gomorra (2014)). The remaining episodes are directed by David Evans (Downton Abbey) and Enrico Maria Artale (Romulus). All ten episodes can be seen in their entirety on Streamz from August 22
