Netflix's animated adaptation of the Wereworld books is finally getting closer, with a teaser and a new title revealed as part of the streamer's Geeked Week.

Wereworld will air next year and is now called Wolf King. The project has been in the works for a while and was first announced as part of an eight-part European animated series in June 2022. Watch the new trailer above.

Based on the books by Curtis Jobling, Wolf King is a fantasy adventure series that follows Drew Ferran as he comes of age and discovers that he is the last of a long line of werewolves and the rightful ruler of a land ruled by werelords. Drew must fight to abolish the Lion Lords' tyranny and reclaim the throne.

The series was discussed as part of Netflix's fourth Geeked Week, during which a number of trailers, teasers and images were revealed, including for Cobra Kai. Wolf King is directed by Tom Brass for Jellyfish Pictures and produced by Angelo Abela, Tim Compton, Curtis Jobling and Barry Quinn for British indie Lime Pictures.
