Mindy Kaling adds another series to her portfolio.

Hulu has given a series order to Not Suitable for Work, a comedy series about young professionals in New York. The series entered development at the Disney streamer (it was then called Murray Hill) in April 2024 with a script-to-series commitment.

Not Suitable for Work was created by Kaling (pictured) and follows "five work-obsessed twenty-somethings as they strive for professional success and, when they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan's most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill," according to the series synopsis. Casting has not yet been announced.

Warner Bros. Television, where Kaling has an overall agreement, produces Not Suitable for Work. Kaling will write and executive produce with her longtime collaborator Charlie Grandy (The Mindy Project, The Sex Lives of College Girls), who will serve as showrunner, and Howard Klein of 3 Arts Entertainment.

The order for Not Suitable for Work comes just before another of Kaling's series, Running Point, premieres tomorrow on Netflix. HBO Max's The Sex Lives of College Girls, meanwhile, is awaiting word on whether it will return for a fourth season.

The series joins a roster of comedy series on Hulu that includes Only Murders in the Building, Futurama and the upcoming series Deli Boys, Chad Powers, Mid-Century Modern and a King of the Hill revival.
