That ABC is struggling these last years is common knowledge. ABC is jokingly called Always Being Cancelled, which is very understandably after the many cancellations.

‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’ is the next in line. ABC announced that the show has been cancelled. Therefore the season finale will also be the series finale.

ABC previously cancelled ‘Lucky 7, ‘The Asset’ and just last week they cancelled ‘Mind Games’. The network will not go on with ‘Hostages’ but they finished the first season completely.

Spokesmen of ABC blamed the failure on the short amount of time the creators had to make two of such complex series at the same time, both of which heavily relied on special effects. The show opened with disappointing ratings and ABC probably made a mistake to program the two series in the same time period.
