SundanceTV renewed ‘The Red Road’ with a second season today. The series focuses on the clash between two communities and two dynamic men, played by Jason Momoa and Martin Henderson. ‘The Red Road’ will return in 2015 with six episodes.
Sarah Barnett, SundanceTV President, stated: “‘The Red Road’ tells the story of a shocking conflict taking place on a specific location, namely the land of the Native Americans. The series shows what happens when you try to bury the truth. We’re proud of our extremely talented cast and I can’t wait to see where creator Aaron Guzikowski will take the story next.”
This news demonstrates that SundanceTV is expanding her series programming. On 19 June, the second season of ‘Rectify’ will start and later this year mini-series ‘The Honorable Woman’ and ‘One Child’ will appear on screen.
For the second season, the cast will consist of, among others, Jason Momoa (‘Wolves’, ‘Game of Thrones’), Julianne Nicholson (‘August: Osage County’, ‘Masters of Sex’, ‘Boardwalk Empire’), Martin Henderson (‘Devil’s Knot’, ‘The Ring’, ‘Smokin’ Aces’) and Tamarie Tunie (‘Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit’, ‘The Good Wife’).
