FX has decided to not renew two comedies. ‘Legit (2013)’ and ‘Chozen’ will not be back.
‘Chozen’ only had one seizoen of ten episodes. The animated comedy follows a white gay rapper that has just been released out of prison. He is trying to claim a place between the world’s best rappers through his music. The voice talent of Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) is used for ‘Chozen’. The series premiered in January with reasonable ratings, 946.000 million viewers. But that number was never matched, even worse the ratings dropped to 451.000 million viewers for the season finale.
Although FX is still committed to make scripted series these rating were not enough to renew ‘Chozen’.
‘Legit (2013)’ is also cancelled by FX (FXX). The episode of May 14 is the series finale. ‘Legit (2013)’ had two season of thirteen episodes each. The show has struggled with the rating ever since it moved from FX to FXX, reason enough for the network to cancel the show. ‘Legit (2013)’ is about a edgy stand-up comedian Jim Jeffries with a big mouth from Australia. He is living in Los Angeles and tries to make his live and carrier ‘Legit’. His best friend is also his neurotic roommate Steve (Dan Bakkedahl).
