Top Boy is about the social house Summerhouse in East London where the local drug trade is largely in the hands of Dushane (Ashley Walters). But he wants to go even higher. To become a 'top boy' and to eliminate his rivals, he joins forces with the notorious drug lord Bobby Raikes (Geoff Bell). In the same rugged neighborhood, 13-year-old Ra’Nell (Malcolm Kamulete) tries to stay on the right path - and away from types like Dushane, who can use minor helpers well. But when his mother ends up in psychiatry and Ra’Nell suddenly has to survive on his own, and his best friend joins a gang, it suddenly becomes a lot harder to resist temptation.
Netflix has ordered a fourth season from Top Boy, which was revealed by rapper Drake. The rapper, who is an executive producer of various series, has revived the series by launching a third season on Netflix in October 2019. With that, the new season appeared on Channel 4 eight years after the release. When someone asked on Instagram if there was going to be another season, Drake confirmed just that.
