The L Word: Generation Q is an American drama series from Showtime. The series premiered on December 8, 2019 and the first season consists of eight episodes.



The L Word: Generation Q is a sequel to the series The L Word. The series shows the lives of Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig) and Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey), along with new characters Dani Nùñez (Arienne Mandi), Micah Lee (Leo Sheng), Finley (Jacqueline Toboni) , Sophie Suarez (Rosanny Zayas) and Gigi (Sepideh Moafi). They experience love, heartache, sex, setbacks and success in Los Angeles.

Showtime has already ordered a second season of ten episodes of The L Word: Generation Q. Gary Levine, President of Entertainment at Showtime: “The result has been a show that appeals to all generations for its relevance, its fearlessness, its emotion and its fun."
