61st Street is an American legal drama series from AMC. The series will start in 2021.



Showing the systemic abuse that takes place in some of the most vulnerable communities in America, 61st Street follows Moses Johnson, a promising, black high school athlete who is dragged into Chicago's infamous corrupt criminal justice system. Considered by the police as a supposed gang member, he is under attack while police and prosecutors seek revenge for the death of an officer during a failed drug raid.

61st Street will consist of two seasons of eight episodes at AMC and will start in 2021. Tosin Cole (Doctor Who) will play the role of Moses Johnson. Bentley Green (Snowfall) plays Joshua, Moses' young brother. He has to take over Moses' work at home. Courtney B. Vance (Genius) has the role of Franklin Roberts, a public defender. After promising his wife that he would retire to spend more time with their 17-year-old autistic son, he decided to help Moses Johnson in the legal proceedings, which could overthrow the entire Chicago judicial system.
