Actor Sam Lloyd passed away. Last year, shortly after he and his wife became parents to their firstborn child, Lloyd was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The actor had metastatic lung cancer. Lloyd passed away at the age of 56 on Friday the 1st of May.
The actor appeared in quite a few series, but his most well-known one was a part in Scrubs. Here, Lloyd portrayed Ted Buckland, the hospital lawyer. After Scrubs ended, he appeared as the same character in a couple of episodes on Cougar Town.

Lloyd was also part of a couple of episodes of Desperate Housewives. Next to that, the actor had guest roles in Seinfeld, The West Wing, Malcolm in the Middle, Modern Family, Happy Together (2018), Alex, Inc., The Middle and Shameless (US). Lloyd's most recent role was a guest role in an episode of American Housewife.
