In 2018, Insecure was renewed with a fourth season shortly after the third season started airing. The fourth season then premiered on HBO on the 12th of April. The network has now revealed that Insecure will have a fifth season. When this season is set to release has not yet been revealed.
Insecure takes a look at the friendship, experiences and challenges of two African-American women. One of the two women is portrayed by Issa Rae (A Black Lady Sketch Show). Rae doesn't just star as the lead character; she also created the show alongside Larry Wilmore (Grown-ish).
