Actor Richard Herd passed away at the age of 87. He was known for his portrayal of Mr Wilhelm in Seinfeld and his many appearances in various Star Trek projects.



Richard Herd appeared in many series, but he is most well-known for his role in Seinfeld. He portrayed Mr Wilhelm for eleven episodes. Next to that, Herd portrayed Klingon L'Kor in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Admiral Owen Paris in Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Renegades.

Besides that, he also had roles in Shameless (US), CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Desperate Housewives, NYPD Blue, Everwood, Seaquest DSV, Pacific Blue and Dallas. The final episode in which Herd appeared was Hawaii Five-0. Richard Herd died from cancer on May 26, 2020, at age 87.
