Last year, Amazon Prime Video revealed that Absentia would have a third season. It has now been revealed that this season will release on Amazon Prime on the 17th of July. The season has ten episodes, which will all release simultaneously on the seventeenth.
Absentia revolves around FBI Agent Emily Byrne (Stana Katic, Castle), who disappeared without a trace and was declared dead after a long search. Six years later, Emily is discovered in a state of poor health in a cabin in the woods. The events in season three take place several months after the events that happened in season two.
