Nothing is known yet about how exactly these two will return to Gray Sloan. Capshaw (pictured below, left) joined the cast in season five and stayed until season fourteen, when Arizona left Seattle during the finale to move to New York so her daughter Sophia could be closer to her other mother, Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez).
Landi (pictured, right) had a recurring role on the series from seasons fifteen to eighteen before quitting in May 2022. While on the series, he had an on-again, off-again relationship with his colleague Dr. Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli), who is still on the series.
In addition, Grey's Anatomy also adds two new faces, Natalie Morales (Dead to Me) and Freddy Miyares (The L Word: Generation Q).
Morales guest stars as Monica Beltran, a pediatric surgeon whose pragmatism and down-to-earth nature makes her one of the best in her field. Her willingness to push boundaries can be admirable or exasperating, but it is always focused on delivering top-quality care to her patients.
Miyares joins the cast in a recurring role as Dorian, an intelligent, warm and sympathetic patient who is involved in a serious accident and struggles with his future.
ABC says to stay tuned as more guest stars will be announced. Fingers crossed for more returning cast members.
The twentieth season of Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursday, March 14 at 21:00 on ABC with streaming on Hulu the following day.
