FX has set a fall premiere date for Ryan Murphy's new horror-drama series Grotesquerie.Grotesquerie stars Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Raven Goodwin and Travis Kelce, and centers on a series of gruesome crimes that shake a small community.
Detective Lois Tryon (Nash-Betts) feels like these crimes are eerily personal, like someone or something is tormenting her. With no leads and no where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan (Diamond), a nun and journalist at the Catholic Guardian.
Sister Megan, with her own troubled past, has seen the worst of humanity but still believes in its capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil. As Lois and Sister Megan gather clues, they become entangled in a sinister web that raises more questions than it answers.
Vance plays Marshall Tyron, Manville is Nurse Redd, Chavez plays Father Charlie, and Goodwin is Merritt Tryon. Kelce’s character has not yet been revealed.
The 10-episode first season premieres Wednesday, September 25 at 10 p.m. ET and will stream the following day on Hulu. It will soon be coming to Disney+ internationally.
