No happy ending for Happyland

MTV has decided to cancel the dramedy ‘Happyland’ after one season of eight episodes. The series premiered on 30 September 2015 and already had low ratings. Those figures didn’t get any better, ‘Happyland’ ended 18 November 2014 with an average of 370,000 viewers.

On ‘Happyland’ the cynical teenage daughter (Bianca Santos) of a career princess (Camille Guaty) at a popular theme park wants to escape the life she’s known. Things get complicated when she falls for the handsome son (Shane Harper) of the park owner. The rest of the cast includes Cameron Moulene, Katherine McNamara, and Ryan Rottman.
