Erika Alexander scores regular role in the third season of Apple TV's Invasion

Fresh off a busy awards season, Erika Alexander has been cast in a regular role on Apple TV's sci-fi series Invasion for season three.
Production on the third season of the series created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil is currently in full swing.

Alexander joins the ensemble cast that includes Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Tara Moayedi, Enver Gjokaj and Shane Zaza.

Invasion follows an alien invasion from different perspectives around the world. Details about the storyline of season three and who Alexander (pictured) will play are not yet known. The first and second seasons are now streaming worldwide on Apple TV+.

The series is produced for Apple TV+ by Boat Rocker and is created by Kinberg and Weil, who also executive produce alongside Audrey Chon, David Witz, Alik Sakharov, Andrew Baldwin, Dan Dietz and Katie O'Connell Marsh. Nick Nantell is executive producer for Boat Rocker. Grace Gilroy is producer.

Throughout her career, Alexander has been great at portraying badass women with multiple layers who are not afraid to be vulnerable. She is best known for bringing the character Maxine Shaw to life in Yvette Lee Bowser's hit 1990s Fox series Living Single starring Queen Latifah, Kim Fields and Kim Coles.

Max is an unabashedly confident and sassy lawyer who few can beat in court and who is usually a great friend. The series' popularity continues to rise through syndication and streaming as it is discovered by new generations.

Since the series ended in 1998, she has been busy with roles on television and in films. A selection includes USA Network's In Plain Sight, OWN's Queen Sugar, Prime Video's Bosch, HBO's Insecure, Hulu's Wu-Tang: An American Saga and Shining Girls for Apple TV+.

Alexander was back in the spotlight in 2023 as part of the ensemble cast of American Fiction, a feature film by Cord Jefferson and an awards season highlight. She starred opposite Jeffrey Wright as his love interest Coraline, a tough single mother who knows what she deserves in life and her relationships and she will accept nothing less.
