Invincible gets early renewal for season five from Prime Video

Prime Video has officially renewed the hit, Emmy-nominated animated series Invincible for a fifth season.
The fifth season renewal for Invincible comes ahead of the 2026 premiere of season four and confirms the series' continued success.

Invincible

The series is based on the award-winning comic book series by Robert Kirkman, co-created by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The story follows seventeen-year-old Mark Grayson, who discovers he has inherited his father's superpowers. As he struggles to become a hero, he quickly realizes the responsibilities are far greater than he ever imagined. The series explores themes of coming of age, family, identity, and sacrifice.

Actor Matthew Rhys has been confirmed to join the voice cast for season four. The regular voice cast includes big names like Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, and Mark Hamill.

The third season of Invincible was a huge success and, according to Prime Video, is the most-watched animated series of all time on the platform. It also marked the biggest recurring season start of any original adult animated series on Prime Video.

Furthermore, season three was nominated for a 2025 Critics' Choice Award and earned two consecutive Emmy nominations in 2024 and 2025.

The season five announcement, which you can watch below, establishes Invincible as one of Prime Video's flagship animated series and a powerful voice within the adult superhero genre.

Great news! Invincible remains one of the strongest and most surprising animated series of the moment. The fact that Prime Video is already releasing a fifth season before season 4 speaks volumes about its success. I can't wait to see where the story goes!
