Marvel's Ironheart has added two more names to the cast. Sacha Baron Cohen and Anji White have been added to the upcoming Disney+ limited series.
Ironheart is a sci-fi action-adventure series that follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), a genius inventor and creator of the most advanced armor since Iron Man. Thorne reprises her role from the 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The series and Thorne's casting were announced in December 2020.
The series cast also includes Anthony Ramos (She's Gotta Have It), Manny Montana (Good Girls), Shakira Barrera (GLOW), Alden Ehrenreich (Brave New World (2020)), Regan Aliyah, Shea Couleé, Zoe Terakes ( Nine Perfect Strangers), Paul Calderón (Bosch) and Cree Summer (Better Things).
Cohen is playing a comic book villain, likely Spiderman's enemy Mephisto, and White is believed to be playing Riri's mother, according to Deadline.
Cohen (pictured) is known for his characters Ali G, Borat and Brüno, but has also acted in many films and series, including the limited Netflix series The Spy and the upcoming Apple TV+ limited psychological thriller series Disclaimer, directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
White starred in the fourth season of Fargo, among others, and guest starred in series such as Chicago Med, The Chi, Empire and The 4400 (2021).
Chinaka Hodge (Snowpiercer) made the series, which will run for six episodes. Disney+ will later announce a 2024 premiere date for this new Marvel series. The series is part of Phase Five of the MCU.
