The animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is a direct sequel to the animated series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (2020-2022), which followed dinosaur fanatic Darius Bowman (Paul-Mikél Williams) as he is invited to the dinosaur-themed adventure camp after completing from a Jurassic World video game. When the dinosaurs escape from their habitat, Darius and his fellow campers are stranded on the island and must find a way out.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory premiered in May and is set six years later. The survivors "struggle to find their way off the islands, navigating a world now filled with dinosaurs and people bent on harming them." Both series are set between the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World: Dominion (2022).
The teaser trailer for season two premiered during the series' panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where fans were also treated to an early screening of the first episode of the new season, which debuts Thursday, October 17 on Netflix.
“With the Nublar Five stowed away on a dinosaur-filled cargo ship headed to parts unknown, their mission to find who is after them sets them on a collision course with the mysterious Broker,” reads the synopsis for Season 2. “Unaware that Brooklynn is alive, the discovery of her whereabouts will call into question everything they thought they knew about each other.”
From showrunners Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley and executive producers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall, the DreamWorks Animation series also features the voices of Sean Giambrone, Darren Barnet, Raini Rodriguez, Kausar Mohammed and Kiersten Kelly.
