The German series debuted in the summer of 2022 and now the sequel is imminent. We dive back into the 80s, with this series that is compared by many to Killing Eve.
Germany still consists of two countries and the Berlin Wall has not yet fallen. In 1987 we follow the East German spy Kleo Straub. She kills a businessman in West Berlin and is arrested by the Stasi not long afterwards. She is in prison for two years and when she is released everything is different.
Because the Wall has fallen and Kleo is suddenly completely free. But she soon discovers that the conspiracy surrounding her person is much bigger than she could imagine. Many compared Kleo with Killing Eve, a very successful series in which spies and assassins also measure each other. And all with a slightly comic undertone.
The rest of the cast consists of Dimitrij Schaad, Julius Feldmeier, Vincent Redetzki, Vladimir Burlakov, Marta Sroka, Jurgen Heinrich and Alessija Lause.
The second season is scheduled for Thursday, July 25, with the first teaser now shared.
