Land of Women gets Apple TV+ premiere date

Land of Women, Apple TV+'s six-episode dramedy series, has been given a premiere date.

The Apple Studios series, inspired by Sandra Barneda's bestseller La tierra de las mujeres and shot in both English and Spanish, stars Eva Longoria as Gala, a New York spinster whose life is turned upside down when her husband destroys the family. involved in financial irregularities and she is forced to flee the city with her aging mother (Carmen Maura) and teenage daughter (Victoria Bazúa).

To escape the dangerous criminals to whom Gala's now-disappeared husband is indebted, the women hide in the same charming wine town in northern Spain that Gala's mother fled fifty years ago, vowing never to return. They try to start over and hope their identities will remain unknown, but small-town gossip spreads quickly and unravels their deepest family secrets and truths.

The cast also includes Amaury Nolasco, Santiago Cabrera, Gloria Muñoz and James Purefoy.

Produced by and starring Eva Longoria, Land of Women will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, June 26 when the streamer releases the first two episodes. One episode will then be released every Wednesday.
