Kevin Kane Promoted to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Regular and New Actress Cast

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Kevin Kane has been promoted to regular for season 26. Juliana Aidén Martinez was also added to the cast.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit follows the detectives from the Special Victims Unit as they investigate and prosecute sex crimes. Some episodes are loosely based on real crimes ripped from the headlines.

The new season begins Thursday, October 3rd at 9 p.m. (US time) on NBC and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.



Kane (pictured) made his debut as Detective Twery Bruno in Season 24, but he has also played other minor characters in Seasons 9, 13, 17, and 20. He was last seen in episode thirteen of the last season.

The fight for justice never ends as Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and her team are a tireless voice for the voiceless. Benson’s compassion for victims and her promise to protect the innocent are a beacon of hope for all.

David Graziano, Julie Martin, Mariska Hargitay, Norberto Barba, Kenneth Brown and Peter Jankowski are the executive producers. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Wolf Entertainment.



Martinez (pictured) is a Colombian-American actress, best known for her breakthrough role in the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series Griselda, opposite Sofia Vergara. She also guest-starred on Fox's 9-1-1 and Prodigal Son, and NBC's The Blacklist.

Kane co-stars in Hulu's Life & Beth and is also a director and executive producer. Other television roles include CBS' FBI: Most Wanted, Netflix's Bonding, NBC's Chicago PD, and Paramount+'s Inside Amy Schumer, where he won Emmy, Peabody, and TCA Awards as a producer.
