Locke & Key tells the story of the Locke family: mother Nina (Stanchfield), eldest son Tyler (Jessup), daughter Kinsey (Jones) and Bode (Scott), the youngest son. The family moves to their mysterious parental home in Massachusetts after the gruesome murder of the family patriarch Rendell (Bill Heck). The children discover that the house contains magical keys that give them different powers and abilities. A cunning demon also tries to gets her hands on the keys and she will stop for nothing in order to achieve that.
The first season had ten episodes and premiered back in February 2020. Near the end of March, the series was renewed with a second season, which has not yet been released. The series has now also been renewed with its third season.

Production on season two will finish before New year's eve. Filming of the third season will start in early 2021. Carlton Cuse revealed the following: “We have some incredible adventures in store for the Locke family in season three, and could not be more excited to continue telling our story with our great partners at Netflix.”
