Premiere date for Netflix's Lockwood & Co.

Lockwood & Co. has been given a premiere date. The new British detective-thriller series will release its eight episodes on Netflix in early 2023.

Lockwood & Co. features Ruby Stokes, Cameron Chapman, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati in the lead. Chapman will portray Anthony Lockwood. This is his debut series. Hadji-Hershmati will portray George Karim. He has slightly more experience in the acting world. He had a small guest role in the British spy thriller Alex Rider, and a recurring role in the British medical drama Holby City.

The 22-year-old Ruby Stokes has the most acting experience out of all three. She starred in several (short) movies, and she has been a part of the Netflix hit Bridgerton and the historical fantasy series Da Vinci's Demons.

Other cast members are Luke Treadaway (photo, Traitors), Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans), Morven Christie (The Bay (2019)), Jemma Moore (Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators), Jack Bandeira (Happy Valley), Ben Crompton (Game of Thrones), Hayley Konadu (Marvel's Moon Knight), Rhianna Dorris (Secret Life of Boys), Paddy Holland (Invasion), and Rico Vina.

On the 27th of January, the series will release. The supernatural series follows three teenagers in London - a paranormally gifted girl (Stokes) and two boys as ghost hunters (Chapman and Hadji-Heshmati). The series is based on a series of young adult novels by Jonathan Stroud.

Netflix shared the following about the plot of Lockwood & Co.:

"In London, where the most gifted teenage ghost-hunters venture nightly into perilous combat with deadly spirits, amidst the many corporate, adult-run agencies, one stands alone: independent of any commercial imperative or adult supervision – a tiny startup, run by two teenage boys and a newly arrived, supremely psychically gifted girl, a renegade trio destined to unravel a mystery that will change the course of history: Lockwood & Co."
