Lucky 7 Is the First New Fall Show to Be Canceled

And the first cancellation of the fall season goes to ABC's Lucky 7. The ABC drama was axed after only two episodes. In its second outing this week, the show lost 50 percent of its paltry opening-week audience.

Effectively immediately, the network is pulling the lottery-themed drama off the air. ABC has replaced Lucky 7 by Scandal repeats effective immediately.

Based on the British series The Syndicate, Lucky 7 followed seven employees at a service station in Queens whose lives are changed in many unexpected ways when they win a lottery jackpot.
