While there wasn't a traditional announcement from the streaming giant, fans who are all caught up will have noticed a message at the end of the last episode stating that the show will indeed be returning.
It is unclear whether a third part was always the plan, or if the story is continuing due to the popularity of the series. While Part 1 ended on a cliffhanger right in the middle of the story, Part 2 appeared to wrap things up nicely, tying up most loose ends that were ongoing throughout the show's 10 episodes.
Lupin retells the classic French tale about Arsene Lupin. The story follows the life of Assane Diop (Omar Sy, photo), whose life was upended as a teenager when his father died after being accused of a crime he didn't commit. 25 years later, Assane adopts the persona of a gentleman burglar and master of disguise to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family.
It is not yet known when production is set to begin, how many episodes the third part will have and when it is set to release on the streaming giant. Sy revealed: "We're talking about that right now. We have a lot of ideas and things that we want to do and say, but we're still in the writing process." Elaborating on one particular aspect of the third season fans can look forward to, he explained that Lupin's beloved canine companion will have a more prominent role in the future.
