In the eighties, Kevin was desperate for the roadmap to Winnie's pants, the 90s gave us George I-Know-Just-Don't-What-I-With-All-That-Estrogen-Meet Costanza and Free Recently we saw Stuart make his way through the perilous labyrinth called a woman in Hello Ladies. The socially awkward spunk of 2015 is called Josh and in the ten-episode first season of Man Seeking Woman, he shows just how hard it is for us dating men. Because let's face it, women are just heartless carnivores. When Josh is dumped by his girlfriend for Adolf Hitler (Yes, it really says.), He suddenly finds himself alone again for the first time in years. After a short period of mourning, he starts throwing his line with fresh courage, but don't think the busty singles are eagerly nipping around. Finding a new +1 turns out not to be such an easy task. Luckily Josh's sister Liz and best friend and chick magnet Mike are more knowledgeable and they guide him through the world of dating, dumping and one more word with a 'd' that I can't think of right now. Is Man Seeking Woman new? No, it has all been told before. Is it hilarious then? Mwah. The neighbors will not think you have Theo Maassen for coffee. Is there at least some great, compelling acting? Let's just say that the cast - when the Emmys are awarded again in 2016 - can just go bowling for an evening. Is it annoying that I keep asking myself questions and then answer them immediately? Yes, it is and I will stop immediately. What is nice about Man Seeking Woman is the way they portrayed everything. Dreams and thoughts are literally portrayed, sometimes creating a surreal setting. For example, when Josh gives his heart to a girl, he literally rips it out of his slightly skinny chest. The question is whether this is also fun enough to watch a whole second season. You have to determine the answer to that question yourself.
