Matlock

Matlock is an American legal crime series which aired on ABC. The series premiered on March 3, 1986.

Benjamin Leighton Matlock is a well-known lawyer living in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States. Matlock, who studied law at Harvard, is an expensive lawyer: he charges a fee of $250,000. However, he is worth the money, as he usually gets his clients an acquittal by uncovering who committed the crime (usually a murder).Matlock is a warm-hearted, but sometimes rather surly man, who always appears in court in his staple gray-blue suit. Although he is outwardly unlike any other old man, he is a shrewd lawyer with a sharp wit. He often investigates the crime scene himself to find clues overlooked by the police and often works out the case while playing his banjo. In the courtroom, he then unmasks the criminal through a cunning game of question and answer.
