Season three is based on the third book in Kasten’s bestselling trilogy, Save Us, published by LYX. As in previous seasons, Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten return in the lead roles as James Beaufort and Ruby Bell. The story follows their turbulent love affair at the elite Maxton Hall school, where status, family issues and personal ambitions are constantly at odds with their feelings for each other.
The announcement was also made by the leads themselves via Instagram. In a short video, they shared their joy about the third season with the words: “One more time, back to school,” while showing their scripts for the final season.
According to Prime Video, the third season promises another intense and compelling story, full of drama and romance. After the passionate night between Ruby and James in Oxford, everything finally seems to work out in their favor. Ruby's dream seems within reach, but unexpected events within James' family undermine everything. Instead of offering support, James pushes her - apparently out of necessity - back into the harsh reality.
Yet the bond between them remains. While Ruby struggles with her feelings, James tries to win her over again. The third season is therefore all about confrontations, reconciliations and finding a future - together or apart.
The second season, based on the book Save You, will be available worldwide on Prime Video from Friday 7 November. The third and final season will follow later, but an exact release date has not yet been announced.
With the final season approaching, a series that is not only beloved by young adult fans, but also garnered praise for the chemistry between its leads and the stylishly filmed setting at the British elite school, is coming to an end.
