Clues lead them into the world of monsters and eventually down the rabbit hole to army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell). The story is set in the 1950s and half a century later, when Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The ten-part series spans three generations and reveals buried secrets.

The monster series will premiere with two episodes on Friday, November 17, followed by a new episode every week on Fridays through January 12.
The cast is completed by Anna Sawai (Pachinko), Kiersey Clemons (Easy), Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto (Pachinko), Anders Holm (Inventing Anna), Joe Tippett (Mare of Easttown) and Elisa Lasowski (Versailles).
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is co-developed and produced by Chris Black (Severance) and Matt Fraction (Marvel's Hawkeye).
Matt Shakman (Marvel's WandaVision) directs the first two episodes and serves as executive producer alongside Safehouse Pictures' Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell, Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon and Andrew Colville.
Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita produce on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of Godzilla. Toho licensed the rights to Legendary for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters as a natural byproduct of their long-standing relationship with the film franchise.
