Fox cancels Mulaney, Weird Loners and American Idol

Again there are three more series that will be buried in the cemetery of cancelled series.

The first is ‘Mulaney’. Many people saw this coming since the first season when ‘Mulaney’ got fewer episodes than planned. The comedy had very low ratings so the series is cancelled after one season of 13 episodes. That means unfortunately for the fans no more stories about the stand-up comedian John ‘Mulaney’.

While ‘Mulaney’ still had 13 episodes, it is even sadder for ‘Weird Loners’. The single camera sitcom about four thirty-somethings comes to an untimely end after just one season of six episodes. Zachary Knighton tweeted the following message to the world:

Mulaney’ and ‘Weird Loners’ only got one season; after 15 seasons ‘American Idol’ will come to an end. Fox has stated that ‘American Idol’ will end with the 15th season in 2016. Fox described it as a season-long festive event. American Idol XV will feature host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., as they search for the final Idol superstar and pay tribute to the past 14 seasons of amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who tweeted, texted and championed their Idols.”
